Life changes things and people change their minds so it's possible this content may never come to the console. Now the devs for Terraria have said that the console versions will get the final updates for Terraria, but that is all we got. It has a lot of content that the console versions do not. The console versions are sitting somewhere around 1.3.something but the PC version is at 1.4.something and has new NPCs, new bosses, new items, etc. The main reason being is that the PC version has a ton more content. Don’t worry though the team behind tModLoader is working to.

Open source means the code is available publicly and anyone can contribute to the project. Based on Terraria’s 1.3.5 version, this will support all available mods with Journey’s End aka update 1.4 kept separate. I would also suggest playing the base version of the game on Steam BEFORE adding tModloader and mods to the game. tModLoader 1.4 Play Terraria with Mods tModLoder 1.4 or commonly known as TML is an open-source expansion that helps you in loading mods to the Terraria game. The Steam version is the cheapest version of the game unlike the PS4 version which is $19.99 or the Switch version which is $39.99. I get price might be something of an issue with most games however Terraria is one of the cheapest games on Steam going for $10.99 at full price and about $5.49 when it goes on sale. It doesn't come with the base game of Terraria and the mods are useless to use without the base game of Terraria.
